FPA TECHNOLOGY

So – what is

FPA TECHNOLOGY

FPA – FLOW PRESSURE AMPLIFICATION

Uses the pressure in falling water to do something useful.

VENTURO IN ACTION

FPA Power Technology allows us to capture the energy in a falling body of water and re-purpose it to perform useful work.

It’s a bit like using a turbine to convert the energy in flowing water into electricity before re-purposing that electrical energy to drive a motor or power lights or run a city.

But – FPA Power Technology is far more efficient than turbines, requires almost no maintenance and is designed to last for decades without replacement.

The trouble with turbine GENERATION

Losses in translation

Losses in the energy conversion process that are inherent in electrical power generation, plus losses in energy transmission and finally losses in the machines that are run on electricity mean that the BEST we can expect to achieve when re-purposing kinetic energy through electricity is 65% efficiency.

This means that at least 35% of the energy captured by a turbine can be regarded as lost immediately.

So, we have to build bigger dams, more turbines and more power stations to keep up with our growing demand for power

And we have to generate 50% more power than we will ever use, just to stand still – All due to losses.

FPA Power efficiency

In specific applications: Close to 100% efficiency when pumping water or creating compressed air.

FPA Technology captures and repurposes energy in a single process with no moving parts in a scalable environment.

We can handle incoming flow rates between 1 litre per second and 1000 litres per second, limited only by the size of the supply pipes used to feed the FPA Power Units

As with turbines, kinetic energy in the incoming water dictates the work that can be done.

In a suitable environment, our Mid-Range FPA units can push 25 million litres a day to an elevated location.

climate, environmental and economic wins

No emissions, no energy consumption costs, almost no maintenance and a working life of 50 years plus.

Where FPA-friendly work is required (pumping water or generating compressed air) it makes sense to install FPA Power units.

Taking electric pumps off of the grid means more energy becomes available to satisfy growing demand, and energy bills are reduced or eliminated.

Once an FPA Power Unit is installed it can run continuously for decades.

scalable technology

FPA Power Units can be installed in an array

Once a water supply has been established, one or more FPA Power units can be configured in an array to capture as much of the available energy as required.
